The lodge “Au Bois Vert ” is a unique concept, close to the city centre, offering a wonderful park where birds and chameleons live abundantly.

Au Bois Vert is located only 5 minutes driving from the International Airport of Antananarivo. The rooms of the lodge « Au Bois Vert » have been built with natural materials such as rosewood and granite. The facilities include flat screen satellite Television, air conditioning (warm & cold), safe and free Internet connection. The lodge has been built in the heart of a 3 ha forest, only a short drive from the city centre. “Au Bois Vert ” offers our guests the enormous diversity and richness of the fauna and flora of Madagascar.

Guests of the lodge will have the chance to enjoy our large granite swimming pool, surrounded by spectacular vegetation. The restaurant, set in the middle of the park, offers a large variety of meals: the “à la plancha” (on a grill plate) preparations are the speciality of “Au Bois Vert”. Of course we offer the excellent zebu-meat, but also fish and seafood will be prepared to perfection to satisfy our guests. For guests, who like to visit the largest handcraft market of the country, stroll around on a colourful local market or meet people from local villages around our lodge, different excursions will be presented. A large variety of walks and visits are available in the neighbourhood of the lodge.

A few kilometres away, the zoological park “Croc Farm” offers an interesting visit where people can walk and observe different species of lemurs, chameleons and reptiles. « Au Bois Vert » also hires mountain bikes or quads for those who like to discover the surroundings of the capital. For transit guests, our unique day-use concept allows you to relax and freshen up in a verdant place before catching your plane.
